Categories: Writers & EditorsSeasoned Media Planner/Buyer (or Seasoned Media Pro) The areas largest independent advertising agency has an immediate opening for an experienced media planner/buyer in our expanding media department. Ideal candidates will have 4 or more years agency experience planning and buying across all media; experience in client presentations is a plus. Planner/Buyers will prepare media plans, analysis and recommendations and will execute plans and buying responsibilities as required. Candidates must be able to develop analysis and support materials (including computation of rates, circulation and CPP, comparative analysis), use and interpret syndicated research, develop media objectives, strategies and rationale, prepare client and internal broadcast buying sheets and maintain close contact with media reps. Responsibilities also include interaction with other agency departments and helping to oversee and give direction to media assistants. Use of Microsoft Office, MRI, SMRB, Scarborough, Nielsen, Arbitron, and SQAD a must. Familiarity with SmartPlus, IMS and Advantage a plus.
